Every current and future Vista staff member is required to provide appropriate background checks, clearances, certifications, credentials and references. To assure compliance with local, state and federal child safety, educational and behavioral regulations, Vista requires that all applicants provide valid criminal background checks (all three listed below.)
Specifically, before starting employment at Vista, all new hires must provide a current (less than one year old):
Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background check
Department of Public Welfare “ChildLine” child abuse history clearance
Federal FBI fingerprint check
New hires successfully completing their 90 school-day training and evaluation period may be eligible for reimbursement for some portion of background checks required. See the above links to the respective websites explaining the process for obtaining each of the requisite clearances.
