BEHAVIORAL TECHNICIAN

We have the following growth opportunities available:

Behavioral Technician
This critical support position provides direct student interface through the effective implementation of treatment plan goals in the classroom and with our families.  This includes coordination of efforts with our Multi-Disciplinary teams throughout the School, weekly home visits to students’ families, documentation of progress/modifications, etc.  Successful candidates will apply approved methodology and intervention techniques while working closely with Special Education Teachers, Behavioral Consultants, and a variety of therapists to successfully implement Individualized Education Programs (IEP’s) and treatment plans.  This includes detailed data collection, thorough observations, accurate documentation and analysis, and adherence to proven procedures and regulatory compliance guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s level professional with experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder or human services field. Preference for candidates with education and/or experience in ABA and individuals with autism within a school or behavioral health setting. 

 

Occupational Therapist
Provides evaluation and treatment services for students enrolled in our programs. The Vista Occupational Therapist (OT) serves as a member of the multidisciplinary team for planning, problem solving and progress monitoring of the students.  The OT assess and reports student strengths and needs; develops and implements goals, objectives and lesson plans; collects and analyzes data; and reports progress related to motor and adaptive domains. The successful candidate will also perform standardized and non-standardized assessments and provide 1:1 and group therapeutic services to the Vista students. The OT attends and participates in team meetings and IEP/Treatment Plan meetings and maintains communication with parents as well as participates in parent training activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s or Masters level professional with experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder or human services field. Must hold PA state license in Occupational Therapy or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

 

Speech-Language Pathologist
Provides evaluation and treatment services for students enrolled in our programs. The Vista Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) serves as a member of the multidisciplinary team for planning, problem solving and progress monitoring of the students.  The SLP assess and reports student strengths and needs; develops and implements goals, objectives and lesson plans; collects and analyzes data; and reports progress related to communication domain.  The SLP performs standardized and non-standardized assessments and provides 1:1 and group therapeutic services to assigned Vista students.  The SLP attends and participates in team meetings and IEP/Treatment Plan meetings and maintains communication with parents as well as participates in parent training activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience working with children with autism and CCC preferred.  Current PA license required. CFY supervision is available.

 

Behavioral Consultant
Provides coordination and supervision of behavioral services to the classroom.  This includes treatment plan development, implementation, monitoring and adjustment in the school and in the home.   The Behavioral Consultant is responsible for development, training and monitoring behavior intervention plans, coordination with multi-disciplinary team members, parent training and communication as well as direct care staff supervision.  Necessary skills include data analysis and graphing, conducting functional assessments/analyses, report writing, and staff training/coaching. 

QUALIFICATIONS:   BCBA, Master’s Degree in behavior analysis, or at least three to five years experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders.  Candidates should have education and/or experience in ABA and individuals with autism within a school or behavioral health setting.  BCBA and Doctoral level supervision is also available.

 

 

Student Teaching & Internships

Vista provides opportunities to students working toward degrees and certifications in various fields to fulfill their student teaching or internship requirements.  College and graduate students in special education, occupational therapy, and speech therapy programs have satisfied the student teaching and internship requirements, and at the same time gained valuable experience working with children with autism in a well-designed ABA program.
